Taste Of Batavia, Block Party Return To Peg Bond Center In September

BATAVIA, IL — The annual Taste of Batavia and Block Party is set to take place in just one month.

The Batavia MainStreet-hosted event will be held from 4-9 p.m. Sept. 3.

Restaurants will be set up at Peg Bond Center, 151 N. Island Ave., with drinks and $3 food tastings. It's a good time to check off the local restaurants you've had on your list and decide which ones to return to in the future.

A list of participating restaurants has yet to be announced.

Just across the pedestrian bridge, a car show will feature a line-up of vintage and muscle cars on North River Street. The show is scheduled to last from 4-8 p.m.

Entertainment will come in the form of a performance from the Batavia Dance Academy, David Fracarro paying tribute to Elvis and live music from ORD Rocks. Children will be able to play in a family zone complete with a bounce house, courtesy of the Congregational Church of Batavia.

The pie back-off, hosted by Batavia Mother's Club, is also set to return.
