Taste Of Batavia, Block Party Set For Labor Day Weekend

While the food-centric event happens at Peg Bond Center, a car show will take place on North River Street.

BATAVIA, IL — Labor Day weekend in Batavia is going to be a busy one as Block Party and Taste of Batavia, plus a car show, is set to take place Sept. 4.

If you have a list of restaurants you've been wanting to try in downtown Batavia, attending Batavia MainStreet's event is one way to try many at once. Restaurants will be set up at Peg Bond Center, 151 N. Island Ave., with drinks and $3 food tastings.

A list of participating restaurants has yet to be announced.

The event, taking place from 4-9 p.m., will also feature a performance from Batavia Dance Academy, live music from Tyler Krienitz and ORD Rocks, and a family zone with a bounce house. The annual Pie Bake-Off is also returning, thanks to Batavia Mother's Club.

Just across the pedestrian bridge, a car show will feature a line-up of cool cars on North River Street. The show is scheduled to last from 4-8 p.m.
