The convictions of former Governors George Ryan and Rod Blagojevich are familiar stories, but in the history of public corruption in Illinois they represent only the most recent and prominent cases. Four other governors were found guilty of corruption and at least one was acquitted under very suspicious circumstances. Former alderman Mathias "Paddy" Bauler famously stated, "Chicago ain't ready for reform." Guest speaker Dave Clark takes us on a tour through Illinois' history of corruption and discusses whether Illinois will ever be ready for reform. Registration required.
