This is a special Meeting reserved for the International Speech and Evaluation Contest. All Members, Friends and Guests are welcome to attend. The International Speech Contest is a timed event. Each speech must be at least 4-1/2 minutes and less than 7-1/2 minutes. The speech content should be appropriate for the event, a polished, practiced speech that will elicit a few laughs and also possibly bring a tear to the eye. The 1st and 2nd place winners will advance to the Area 11 Contest and compete against winners from other nearby Clubs on February 15. The Evaluation Contest participants all listen to the same speech. Then there are 5 minutes of silence while they may take notes and record their impressions. After that they are all taken out into the hallway and brought back in, one at a time, to give their evaluations of the speech. Those Evaluators are judged and the 1st and 2nd place winners go on to compete against winners from other nearby Clubs at the same Area Contest
