"Fermi lab is pretty darn cool. Particle colliders, dark matter, neutrino detectors - they have it all. Nobel level research and they love to share. It's all open to the public - no military secrets or anything like that. Lederman Center has lot's of experiments for kids too."

Reviewer from Boston states:

"We enjoyed the trails so much and found it was a fun and free family activity for anyone."

3. Funway Ultimate Entertainment Center: Indoor and outdoor fun activities at 1335 S River St.

Reviewer from Bolingbrook states:

"So much to do under one roof. Today with a few adult women we went bowling and then played Laser tag.. So much fun we had. They have games to play, roller ring, bumper cars, small kid rides.. The place is huge and we even got a groupon and can't bet the price when that happens but prices didn't seem to bad. They had a snack shop if you want to grad a bit to eat. You could spend hours or as little time you want."

4. Fabyan Windmill: Crissey Avenue

Reviewer from Rhinelander, Wisconsin states:

" I love this windmill. It is a beautiful feature to Fabyan park."

5. Batavia Depot Museum: Museum at 155 Houston St.

Reviewer from Chicago states:

"Lots of items of interest in a historic depot building -- take note of the Mary Todd Lincoln section -- she was confined to a mental hospital here."
