Water Street Studios To Host All In For Art Benefit

BATAVIA, IL — The nonprofit Water Street Studios is planning an assortment of fun activities for its annual benefit Feb. 28.

Heavy appetizers, an open bar, a performance by a local jazz band, a caricature artist, an art sale and a wine pull are among the activities planned at the annual benefit. Guests will also have the chance to play with "funny money" at the studio's casino games. No actual money is needed to play — chips are provided, and winners will receive prizes.

The benefit will kick off at 7 p.m. at the studio, 160 S. Water St. The event is scheduled to run until 10 p.m. Cocktail attire is encouraged.

"All in for Art is a fantastic way to celebrate the work of Water Street Studios, a community art center," the Geneva Chamber of Commerce wrote in a news release. "Water Street Studios provides resident artist studios, a ceramics lab, School of Art, award-winning galleries, community outreach and public art."

Tickets cost $100 each and can be purchased online.

For those who can't attend, Water Street Studios said it accepts monetary donations to help it continue providing events for the community. Among the nonprofit's offerings are affordable studio spaces for artists, a ceramics lab and art classes.

"Water Street Studios has become an integral cultural hub that draws, enriches and supports renowned artists, experienced art teachers, talented students and the art and culture-loving public from all over the Fox Valley and beyond," the Chamber said.

Water Street Studios is open from noon to 4 p.m. Friday through Sunday.
