See when trick-or-treaters can head out in search of candy this year.

BATAVIA, IL --- Halloween is less than a week away and kids have probably already concocted their best costume ideas as they get ready to go door to door in search of candy. Trick-or-treating in Batavia in 2018 starts at 4 p.m. and wraps up at 7 p.m., according to a post from the city.

City officials are reminding parents and their little ghosts and goblins to stay safe while out trick-or-treating. Kids should walk with parents or in groups and should wear reflective clothing and carry a flashlight. Officials also remind parents and children to leave bikes and skateboards at home, only cross at crosswalks, and only trick-or-treat at homes that have their porch lights on.
