Woman, 30, Arrested on Batavia High Campus for Domestic Disturbance: Police
The woman allegedly used a knife to injure a 31-year-old man Thursday afternoon, police said.

BATAVIA, IL - A 30-year-old woman was taken into custody on the far western edge of the Batavia High School campus after she fled the scene of a domestic disturbance Thursday afternoon, police said. The woman is accused cutting her brother with a knife during the domestic disturbance. The brother, a 31-year-old Batavia man, suffered a small puncture wound to the shoulder and was taken to an area hospital.
The brother is being treated for injuries that are not considered life-threatening. And the woman, who has not been identified by authorities, was brought into the Batavia Police Department for further questioning, according to a news release from the Batavia Police Department.
The domestic occurred just before 3 p.m. at the brother's apartment in the 1100 block of West Wilson Street, according to authorities. When police arrived at the scene, the sister had already fled on foot, a witness told authorities.

She was located by police on the Batavia High School campus in the 1400 block of West Wilson Street where she was arrested. Police said the incident was not related to any events happening at the school.
"There was never any time when any students or staff were in danger," according to the news release. "This was a domestic-related incident involving family members and (was) isolated to one apartment."

An investigation is ongoing and no charges have been filed.
