1 Killed, 1 Shot Overnight Outside Blue Island Night Club
Placards mark spots where 14 shell casings were found in street.
BLUE ISLAND, IL -- Two people were shot in Blue Island early Monday morning in the 1800 block of 127th Street.
The shooting happened around 1:04 a.m. Letter-marked placards up to the letter “M” were placed next to shell casings found on the street.
The crime scene stretched for at least a half block along 127th Street, from Honore to the railroad tracks intersecting 127th Street and Lincoln.

The wounded were taken in critical condition to Metro South Hospital in Blue Island and Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.
The man taken to Metro South Hospital was pronounced dead; the man who was brought to Advocate Christ is expected to survive.

Witnesses told NBC Chicago that a fight broke out inside the bar and three people were asked to leave. Moments later, gunfire rang out. Nobody is in custody.
“I was in the office," the manager said. "I don’t know what happened."
Police were focusing their attention on three parked vehicles, that included a Cadillac Escalade SUV, a BMW and a white car.
The Escalade had a bullet hole in the rear hatch; the rear window of the white car was also shattered by bullets.
Nobody is in custody. The South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force is assisting in the investigation.
