19th Ward Collecting Children's Books For Bernie's Book Bank
The 19th Ward office will be collecting gently used children's books for under-served kids through Friday, Dec. 9.
CHICAGO — Is your house cluttered with children’s books you no longer need? Now until Friday, Dec. 9, the 19th Ward Office is hosting a used children’s book drive in conjunction with Bernie’s Book Bank. Residents are encouraged to drop off any unneeded children's books at the 19th Ward office, 10400 S. Western Ave. Monday through Friday, between 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The most commonly requested books include Little Golden Books, Don’t Let the Pigeon, Who Is /Who Was, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Captain Underpants, Judy Moody, and Percy Jackson. Bernie’s Book Bank accepts gently used children’s books for children birth – 12 years old. Please note, only children’s books will be accepted.
