19th Ward Collecting Children's Books For Bernie's Book Bank
The 19th Ward office will be collecting gently used children's books for under-served kids through Friday, Dec. 9.
CHICAGO β Is your house cluttered with childrenβs books you no longer need? Now until Friday, Dec. 9, the 19th Ward Office is hosting a used childrenβs book drive in conjunction with Bernieβs Book Bank. Residents are encouraged to drop off any unneeded children's books at the 19th Ward office, 10400 S. Western Ave. Monday through Friday, between 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The most commonly requested books include Little Golden Books, Donβt Let the Pigeon, Who Is /Who Was, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Captain Underpants, Judy Moody, and Percy Jackson. Bernieβs Book Bank accepts gently used childrenβs books for children birth β 12 years old. Please note, only childrenβs books will be accepted.
