19th Ward E-Waste Recycling Set For Saturday At Crosswinds Church

19th Ward residents can drop off old and unused electronics Saturday, Sept. 28, at Crosswinds Community Church.

CHICAGO — Don’t leave old, unused electronics sitting in your garage or basement over the winter. Dispose of them Saturday, Sept. 28, at the 19th Ward’s Electronics Recycling event, sponsored by Ald. Matt O’Shea, Sen. Bill Cunningham and Rep. Mary Gill.

Electronics can be dropped off from 9 to 11 a.m. at Crosswinds Community Church, 10835 S. Pulaski Road, Chicago. Only the following items will be accepted:

  • Computer/Computer Monitor
  • TV
  • Printer, fax, scanner
  • Keyboard, mouse
  • VCRs, DVD players
  • Video game consoles
  • Portable digital converter boxes
  • Cable and satellite receivers
  • Small scale servers

Unfortunately, any item brought that is not on this list will be turned away. The event is only open to 19th Ward residents and proof of residency may be required.
