4 Suburban Men Accused Of Battering Barraco's Employees
Prosecutors said the four men, all 20, attacked restaurant employees when they were cut off and asked to leave.

CHICAGO — Four suburban men, all 20, are accused of violently attacking employees after they were cut off early Sunday morning at a Mount Greenwood restaurant. Three employees were injured, along with the 61-year-old restaurant owner, who remains hospitalized.
Andrew Fedyk, of LaGrange, Harry Kenny, of Glen Ellyn, Frank Paris, of River Forest, and John Powers IV, of Oak Park, are facing felony charges of aggravated battery/public place, aggravated battery/great bodily harm, and aggravated battery of a person over 60.
Fedyk is also charged with misdemeanor using a false ID; Paris is facing an additional felony charge of robbery; and Powers is also charged with aggravated battery/strangle.

According to Chicago police the four men were dining at Barraco’s Ristorante in the 3000 block of West 111th Street around 1:37 a.m. Sunday. When they were cut off, they became verbally abusive to staff, O’Shea told WGN News.
As the four were being escorted out, they began violently attacking three restaurant employees. The four men fled and were arrested between 1:45 a.m. and 2:22 a.m. in the 11200 block of South Whipple; the 3000 block of West 111th Street and the 11100 block of South Albany, police said.

The ages of the four injured employees, all men, are 20, 28, 45 and 61, police said.
The 61-year-old owner, Nicholas Barraco, remains hospitalized at Advocate Christ Medical Center with a serious head injury. A prayer vigil is planned for Barraco’s recovery at 7 p.m. Wednesday at St. Barnabas Church, 10134 S Longwood Drive, Chicago
The suburban men appeared Tuesday in court for a detention hearing, where they were released with conditions, the Chicago Tribune reported.
The four 20-year-olds are due back in court July 1.
