Burglary Crew Hits 6 South Side Businesses In One Night: CPD

Six businesses were burglarized overnight in Kenwood, South Shore, Washington Heights, Beverly, Archer Heights and West Elsdon.

CHICAGO — A band of burglars has reportedly hit six commercial businesses in South Side neighborhoods on Wednesday during the overnight hours. Business burglaries were reported in the Kenwood, South Chicago, Beverly and Morgan Park neighborhoods.

Chicago police said at least four people busted the glass front doors or windows to gain access. Once inside the establishment, police said the crew removed money, cash registers and merchandise. The crew would grab the proceeds and jump into a black Infiniti sedan, where a driver was waiting.

  • 1400 block of E. 47th St., at 2:30 a.m. (Kenwood)
  • 7600 block of S. Jeffery Blvd., at 2:45 a.m. (South Shore)
  • 10300 block of S Halsted St., at 3:07 a.m. (Washington Heights)
  • 2100 block of W. 95th St., at 3:25 a.m. (Beverly)
  • 4800 block of S. Pulaski Rd., 3:58 a.m. (Archer Heights)
  • 5100 block of S. Pulaski Rd., at 4:24 a.m. (West Elsdon)

The suspects were wearing black ski masks, dark clothing and gloves. No arrests have been made.
