76-Year Old Woman Dies 3 Weeks After Crash On 115th Street
Constance Dewilkins was the fatal victim of a July 22 crash near Marist High School in Mount Greenwood.
CHICAGO — An Alsip woman has died three weeks after a car crash near Marist High School in Mount Greenwood. Constance Dewilkins, 76, of the 11700 block of South Homan Avenue has been identified as the fatal victim of the crash that occurred on July 22 near the intersection of 115th Street and Karlov Avenue. The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office confirmed Dewilkins was pronounced dead at 6:15 p.m. on Aug. 13 at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.
According to the Chicago Sun-Times, Dewilkins was driving a Toyota Corrolla eastbound on 115th and drove through the red light at Karlov before striking an oncoming vehicle turning left. The car driven by Dewilkins continued moving after the crash and struck a nearby business.
Two people who were inside the other vehicle involved in the crash declined medical attention, the Sun-Times reported.
