Activist Jim McGrath Discusses Gun Violence At Beverly Unitarian

Southsiders for Peace welcome activist Jim McGrath who will speak on gun violence in America this June 17, at Beverly Unitarian Church.

CHICAGO — Local activist Jim McGrath will deliver a presentation about gun violence in the United State, Saturday, June 17, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Beverly Unitarian Church, 10244 S. Longwood Drive, Chicago. The event is hosted by Southsiders For Peace.

McGrath was moved to become an activist by Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting on Dec. 14, 2012. He joined Moms Demand Action in Vernon Hills. After the Marjory Stoneman Douglas in Parkland, FL shooting, McGrath helped organize a Moms Demand Action chapter in his hometown of Barrington with which he is still active.

After the presentation, questions and discussion will follow. Refreshments will be served.
