Acupuncture Studio Opens In Beverly
Beverly/Morgan Park native Sarah Bedell brings the neighborhood its first acupuncture studio with her new business at 104th and Western.

CHICAGO, IL - A Beverly/Morgan Park native has brought a unique business to the neighborhood. Sarah Bedell officially opened True North Acupuncture last week at 10450 S. Western Ave. It is the first acupuncture business in the neighborhood and surrounding area.
"I've always been interested in helping others through wellness, and once I discovered acupuncture and its amazing health benefits I knew that was something I wanted to do," said Bedell, a licensed acupuncturist and Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine who grew up in the neighborhood and graduated from Christ the King and St. Ignatius College Prep.
Bedell began her career as a registered nurse and later received her degree in Chinese Medicine after discovering her passion for natural, non-invasive healing.

Her new studio, which shares a parking lot with Treadfit, offers acupuncture and other modalities of traditional Chinese medicine, according to the Beverly Area Planning Association weekly e-blast.
Other services listed on True North's website include guasha, cupping and moxibustion. She treats men’s and women’s health issues, fertility, pain, anxiety, depression, headaches/migraines and insomnia among other issues.

"I'm excited to bring acupuncture and holistic medicine to Beverly," Bedell said. "There is certainly a need for it here."
