Alley Burglar Enters Homes And Cars In Mt. Greenwood, Morgan Park

A man spotted on camera is believed to have entered homes and garages in the early morning hours.

CHICAGO — Police in Chicago's 22nd District have released images from a resident's surveillance camera that shows a man they believe is responsible for six burglaries this month in the Mount Greenwood and Morgan Park neighborhoods. Police say the man has been spotted walking down residential alleys and sidewalks, pulling the door handles to garages, residences and cars between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m. He's entered multiple properties and taken valuables from within, according to police.

The first string of thefts all occurred in Mount Greenwood on the morning of Aug. 10, when reports came in from both the 11100 block of South Trumbull and 11100 block of South St. Louis. Similar reports surfaced again on the morning of Aug. 18 in Morgan Park, one in the 2100 block of West 109th Street and another in the 10800 block of South Bell.

A white SUV was shown on the surveillance footage, so police think he may be driving that car while committing the crimes. Also, two images above this article show a portion of the suspected burglar's face.
