The 19th Ward Youth Foundation will host a blood drive Sunday, Dec. 17, at St. Cajetan School in honor of Rocco Babbitt, 2.

CHICAGO — The 19th Ward Youth Foundation will host a community blood drive Sunday, Dec. 17. The blood drive runs from 8 a m. to noon at St. Cajetan School, 2447 W. 112th St.

The blood drive is in honor of Rocco Babbitt, 2., who had spent six months in NICU and endured several surgeries when he was diagnosed earlier this year with Neuroblastoma, a cancer that develops from immature nerve cells found in several areas of the body.

The kid brother of St. Cajetan preschooler, Henry, little Rocco is currently cancer-free after six months of intensive chemotherapy sessions. Rocco is looking forward to overcoming any of the challenges that come his way.
