Barack Obama An Honorary Member Of Beverly Country Club
The Beverly Country Club extended an invitation for Barack Obama to join as an honorary member and the former president has accepted.
CHICAGO, IL - Former President Barack Obama may have stayed in Washington, D.C. to live after his presidency, but his ties to Chicago remain strong. One of them is his membership at a South Side country club.
A spokesman for the Beverly Country Club has confirmed that the 44th President of the United States is an honorary member of the club located at the southwest corner of 87th and Western.
Honorary membership status at the club means Obama will have an opportunity to golf there without having to pay an initiation or dues, according to a Chicago Tribune report. Obama will be charged when he brings guests to the club, however.
