Beverly Breast Cancer Walk Brings Thousands Looking For A Cure

Thousands came to Beverly on Mother's Day to support programs at Little Company of Mary Hospital.

CHICAGO, IL - The 2018 Beverly Breast Cancer walk on Mother's Day was the 19th annual event to raise money for breast health programs at Little Company of Mary Hospital. Thousands came out to the neighborhood to show their support. Let's take a look back at the day from those who documented about their experiences on Twitter.

Father Tom Hurley, a Marist High School alum and current pastor at Old St. Patrick's Church, said a morning mass at Ridge Park to begin the day.

Walkers wore blue shirts with pink lettering to symbolize togetherness in the hope that a cure for breast cancer will be found.
