Blue Cap Hiring Direct Support Specialist

BLUE ISLAND, IL - Blue Cap has a direct support professional specialist position open in its new autism program. The full-time position pays $13 an hour for providing individualized support to individuals participating in the Life Enrichment Program so that dreams and personal outcomes can be realized. The successful candidate will also provide opportunities for people to achieve vocational, social and educational goals.

Hours for the job are Monday thru Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Minimum requirements include:
• Must be a Certified Direct Support Professional or equivalent
• Experience working with people who live with Autism preferred
• Ability to complete and maintain specialized behavior training
• Ability to maintain PACE driver certification
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Ability to complete all Departments of Human Services training and background check requirements
