Mother McAuley Alumnae Association Calls for Nominations for McAuley Hall, Mother McAuley’s New Hall of Honor

The Mother McAuley Alumnae Association announced that nominations are open for McAuley Hall, the new hall of honor for Mother McAuley Liberal Arts High School / Saint Xavier Academy. Nominations for the first inductees will be accepted through June 3, 2013. 

This new honor will be introduced at McAuley’s first annual, All-Class Reunion on November 2, 2013, when the very first members of McAuley Hall will be inducted.

Jodi Farrell '84, President of McAuley’s Alumnae Association enthusiastically explained that McAuley Hall is being introduced to start to record the stories of the remarkable people who have been a part of McAuley / SXA.  “There are over 25,000 McAuley alumnae, their McAuley education gave them the foundation to rise to the top of their fields and make varied and significant contributions to the world, and we wanted to begin to recognize some of these accomplished, determined and influential women,” Farrell said.

Farrell added that McAuley Hall will be a permanent installation at the school, serving to educate and inspire current and future students and visitors, “a continuing reminder that a McAuley education is a lifetime advantage, a foundation for the highest achievement.”  

All those who have been a part of, or friends to, McAuley / SXA over its 166 year history are eligible for induction.  Farrell said, “all nominations are encouraged.  It’s the members of the McAuley Family who will nominate the inductees of McAuley Hall, it belongs to all of us, and we can all be proud of these stories!”

Nominations for the first year’s inductees will be open until June 3, 2013.
