Burglar Targets Homes In East Beverly

Chicago police say a man has entered four homes in the neighborhood over the past month and has left with jewelry and electronics.

CHICAGO, IL - A residential burglar has hit up multiple homes in the 22nd Police District over the past month, with all four reported incidents having occurred in the East Beverly neighborhood.

Chicago police did not immediately release a surveillance image of the burglar, but described the suspect as an African-America man between 35 and 40 years old, approximately 5'10" and who was wearing a baseball cap and riding a 10-speed bicycle while committing the crimes.

He is suspected of entering four homes in the neighborhood through a window and leaving with electronics and jewelry between April 15 and May 4.

Incidents were reported on April 15 in the 10500 block of South Hale, April 24 in the 1800 block of West 107th Street, April 28 in the 1600 block of West 105th Place and May 3-4 in the 1400 block of West 105th Street.
