Chicago police are investigating four cases of Mt. Greenwood businesses falling victim to overnight break-ins.

CHICAGO, IL - Chicago police are investigating what they call a pattern of related incidents in which businesses in the city's Mount Greenwood neighborhood are being burglarized overnight. Two incidents in the early morning hours of Jan. 20 are the latest in a string of four burglary to business incidents in the neighborhood since the beginning of December, according to police.
Police said in a community alert that businesses in the 11000 block of South Pulaski and 3000 block of West 111th Street were burglarized between 3 a.m. and 6 a.m. on Jan. 20. In these cases, a man enters the closed business by breaking and prying the glass front door open. He then enters the businesses and takes money.
Other businesses in the neighborhood have fallen victim to the same version of events. One was reported in the 3500 block of West 111th Street on Jan. 13 and the other in the 3200 block of West 111th Street on Dec. 13.
