Career Burglar Caught Stealing from Garage: Cops
The 67-year-old parolee fled when he was spotted allegedly stealing property from a garage.

Chicago, IL -- A career burglar was picked up by police after he was allegedly observed stealing property from a garage Monday afternoon.
John House, 67, of the 100 block of West 112 Street was arrested and charged with burglary. House is currently out on parole where he was sentenced to six years in the Illinois Department of Corrections on a 2011 residential burglary conviction.
House is accused of burglaring a garage in the 100 block of West 112th Street. According to public safety alert from Ald. Matt O’Shea, House fled the scene with the stolen property. He was later apprehended by the Chicago Police Department.
House’s prison records indicate he’s been convicted of burglary and/or theft nine times. Bail was set at $250,000. House is due back in court July 25.
