Cat Burglar Prowls Beverly, Police Warn
The burglar climbed through windows and entered homes while the residents were asleep during the overnight hours of Sept.14-15, CPD says.

CHICAGO — 22nd District Chicago Police are warning residents about a string of residential burglaries that happened in the Beverly neighborhood during the overnight hours of Sept. 14 and Sept. 15.
According to police, the purported burglar has been entering homes while residents are sleeping and stealing items from the house. Burglaries were reported at the following addresses:
- 9000 block of South Hamilton Avenue, between 9 p.m. and 7 p.m. and between 11 p.m. and 9 a.m.
- 9000 block of South Pleasant Avenue, between 9 p.m. and 7 p.m.
No description is available. Residents are asked to call 911 immediately if they suspicious persons emerging from yards or vehicles in the neighborhood.

• Immediately report suspicious activity
• If approached by a witness to the incident, request contact information
• Call police immediately and remain on scene when discovering the crime
• Keep the perimeter of your property well lit
• Secure all doors and windows

• Avoid touching anything in order to preserve evidence
