Chicago 22nd Police District Holds Recruitment Event Jan. 16
Interested applicants will have the opportunity to learn more about the benefits of working for Chicago Police Department.

CHICAGO, IL -- Chicago 22nd District Police will hold a recruitment event at the Morgan Park police station Monday, Jan. 16, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
CPD officers will be available to assist interested applicants with signing up to take the exam and answer any questions about the exam or being a Chicago police officer. The 22nd District police station is located at 1900 W. Monterey Ave., Chicago.
The deadline to apply to be considered for the written exam has been extended a third time to Jan. 31, 2017. The written test will take place in the spring for those who applied.

The starting salary for Chicago police officers is $47,604 and increases to $72,510 after 18 months of employment. There are no application fees.
Residency in the City of Chicago is required at the time of employment, but not required for the time of application.

Interested police officer candidates can also fill out a quick application online with their contact information at Chicago Police Department. Someone will be in touch with the exam date and answer any other questions.
