Chicago Police Alert Residents Of Armed Robbery Spree In 22nd District

CHICAGO — Chicago 22nd District police are alerting residents of three armed robberies that took place Tuesday. In each robbery, police said two to three armed men approached people on the street and demanded their property while armed with a handgun.

The suspects fled in a stolen black Kia Sportage. The incidents all happened Oct. 25 in broad daylight at these times and locations:

  • 10:15 a.m. – 600 block of West 95th Street
  • 10:37 a.m. – 2200 block of West 92nd Street
  • 1:10 p.m. – 9200 block of South Wallace Street

The suspects were described as two to three male blacks, 16 to 25 years old, 5-feet-7-inches to 6-feet tall, and wearing hooded sweatshirts. On two occasions, police said the suspects fled in a stolen 2020 black KIA Sportage, possible with the rear passenger window broken out.
