Chicago Police Plan DUI Saturation Patrol in 22nd District
Chicago police will be saturating the 22nd District March 31-April 1 looking for impaired drivers.

CHICAGO, IL -- Chicago Police in the 22nd District in Morgan Park will be saturing the neighborhood looking for drunk drivers this weekend. The DUI Saturation Patrol will commence at 7 p.m. Friday, March 31 and end at 3 a.m. Saturday, April 1. The location will be a surprise.
Roving police officers will be monitoring traffic for signs of impaired driving. Patrols will also be watching for speed, alcoholic-related and safety belt violations. Police vehicles will be equipped for speed detection to apprehend speeding violators.
The Breath Alcohol Testing (BAT) Mobile Unit may also be deployed to allow officers to to check drivers suspected of driving under the influence before that are taken to nearest lock-up for bonding. The BAT mobile also allows drivers to issue I-bonds at the site of the DUI Saturation Patrol.

The CPD DUI Saturation Patrol conducted in the Harrison (11th) District on March 24-25 resulted in the following:
- Driving Under the Influence - 1
- Unsafe Vehicle Violations - 26
- Driver's License Violations - 10
- Insurance Violations - 13
- Safety Belt Violations - 14
- Traffic Violations (Other) - 11
- Total Citations - 75
