Child Luring Incident Reported In West Beverly
Police said a man tried to get a young girl to enter his car on 101st Street between Artesian and Campbell.

CHICAGO, IL - A man tried to lure a young girl into his car in near 101st and Artesian in West Beverly earlier this month. Chicago police sent out a community alert early Monday morning describing the man involved in the attempted kidnapping incident.
The girl was walking in the 2400 block and 2500 block of West 101st Street around 4:35 p.m. on April 12 when the man approached her in his car, police said. She was between Artesian and Campbell avenues when she refused to get into the car and ran toward her home.
The man drove away in a car that was only described as a four door sedan. He is described as a black man, between 30-40 years old with black hair, a corn roll hair style and light complexion.

He was last seen wearing a black long sleeve jacket when drove off heading north in the 101st Street alley between Artesian and Campbell, according to police.
