Churches Burglarized in Morgan Park

Chicago police said burglars forced their way into unoccupied churches and stole items.

CHICAGO — 22nd District Chicago Police are alerting the community of church burglaries in Morgan Park. Burglars broke into churches in two separate incidents,

Both burglaries happened in the 1600-1700 block of South Monterey. Police said the burglars forced their way into the unoccupied churches and stole items at the following times and locations:

  • Between 9:30 a.m. and 9:40 a.m. Oct. 10-24 in the 1600 block of West Monterey Avenue.
  • Midnight to noon, Oct. 19 on the 1600 block of West Monterey
