City Grange Garden Center Opening Here: Bev Biz Beat
A North Side garden center plans their second location along 99th Street in Beverly.

CHICAGO — City Grange, a garden center on the Far North Side of the city plans to open its second location at the complete opposite end of Chicago with a spring opening date planned along the 99th Street Business District in Beverly. But neighborhood residents won't have to wait that long to check out what the place offers. A weekend "pop-up" is already in place inside the Joplin Marley Studios at 9911 S. Walden Parkway and will be there on weekends through the holiday season.
The business focuses on organic and pesticide-free plant material, education and community-building, according to a news release. They sell plants, garden tools and supplies and host gardening workshops. They have a job-training program for at-risk individuals called United We Blossom.
“I believe the world would be a better place with more gardeners,” City Grange Founder and President LaManda Joy said. “I started City Grange to inspire, motivate and help more people garden successfully. Our first location on the North Side has been an overwhelming success, and I welcome everyone in Beverly and the surrounding communities to come visit us for holiday decorating and shopping at City Grange.”

Joy said it has been the plan all along to open multiple City Grange shops in the city and it made the most sense to open the second one in Beverly. A third could be in the works soon in the Back of the Yards area of the city, she said.
The City Grange Beverly pop-up will be open on Fridays from 4-8 p.m., Saturdays
from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., from Saturday, Nov. 23 through Sunday, Dec. 22.
