Cops Continue Search for Father and Son Charged in Squatter Scheme
Chicago police are asking for the public's help in locating father and son charged in squatter scheme.

On the lam: Richard Trimble, 52, of Markham, and his son, Arshad Thomas, 26, have both been charged with various felonies involving squatters in foreclosed properties.
The Chicago Police 22nd District has issued a community alert for the father and son who have been charged in an elaborate fraud and takeover scheme of foreclosed properties in Beverly and Morgan Park, and others throughout the Chicago area.
Felony theft, burglary and fraud charges were announced last week for Richard Trimble, 52, of Markham, and his son, Arshad Thomas, 26, who remain at large, following a lengthy investigation. Warrants have been issued for their arrest.

Two of their associates, David Farr (aka Fahim Ali), 40, and Torrez Moore, 55, were arrested last week in early morning raids of foreclosed homes said to be illegally occupied by squatters for months. Farr (Ali) and Moore are currently out on bond.
Trimble and Thomas are members of the Sovereign Moor movement, a movement of people who do not believe they are subject to the laws of government or law enforcement. Both men are black.

Chicago Police are asking anyone with knowledge of Trimble’s and Thomas’s whereabouts to call 911 immediately and provide as much information as possible. Do not approach or engage them.
