About Everything's Relative Salon and Day Spa
Everything's Relative, an Aveda concept salon, has been a proud beauty service provider on the south side of Chicago for the past 25 years. While creating a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere for our wonderful clientele, we have worked to create a sustainable business to keep our planet healthy. We stand with Aveda's mission, "To care for the world we live in, from the products we make to the ways in which we give back to society." We believe that it is our responsibility to give back to our community and maintain an eco-friendly business. We are a certified sustainable salon thanks to our partnership with Green Circle Salons. This means that up to 95% of our salon waste is recovered, re-purposed, and kept out of landfills and waterways. The program helps us to redirect out of water streams and landfills everything once considered as garbage: hair (in 2010 Green Circle Salons sent more than 1,000 pounds of hair to the Gulf of Mexico to help clean the BP oil spill), foils, color tubes, paper, plastics, and liquid chemical waste (most salons today simply rinse all leftover liquid chemicals into the sink and down the drain). We are also partnered with Easydry Towels, this company provides us with hypoallergenic, one-time use towels for our clientele that is 100% biodegradable within 12 weeks of use. Everything’s Relative Salons have been sponsors for Community Events and are leaders in fundraising for Bapa, Beverly Art Center, Beverly Art Alliance, as well as Domestic Abuse Awareness, Cancer Awareness, Special Needs Education, and Environmental Protection. We are especially proud of our commitment to the Alliance for the Great Lakes! Everything’s Relative Salons has raised over $32,000.00 over the past eight years for this very important organization.
