DUI Crackdown In District 22 Tonight

Police will increase patrols looking for drunk drivers in the 22nd District Friday night.

CHICAGO, IL - Chicago police are planning to crack down on DUI drivers in the 22nd District Friday night, Jan. 26. In an email alert sent Friday afternoon, police say the DUI Saturation Patrol will be in effect from 7 p.m. Friday until 3 a.m. Saturday in the Morgan Park - 22nd District.

Additional patrols will be deployed to the district during this time and officers may have access to the Breath Alcohol Testing Mobile Unit that would allow officers to speed up the process of charging a drunk driver with a DUI.

The mobile unit also allows for I-Bonds to be issued at the site of the DUI Saturation Patrol, according to police.
