Exhibit Focuses On 100 Years Of Smith Village At Beverly Arts Center
"20/20: One Hundred Years In Focus – Smith Communities in a Changing World" celebrates Smith Village's centennial through June 29 at BAC.

CHICAGO — “20/20: One Hundred Years In Focus – Smith Communities in a Changing World” is now on view at the Beverly Arts Center through June 29. The exhibit commemorates Smith Village’s 100 years of caring for seniors.
This timeline exhibition features a series of nine 3-foot by 4-foot panels depicting local, regional and world events along with the rise of Smith communities in Chicago and in Orland Park. Smith Senior Living, sponsor of Smith Village and Smith Crossing, created the exhibit.
The exhibition employs iconic representations of events and trends from major discoveries to pop culture along with radically changing attitudes about aging. It is open to the public until Saturday, June 29, 2024, at the Beverly Arts Center, 2407 W. 111 th St. in Chicago.

During the exhibition, guided tours of the “20/20” exhibit are being offered from 1 to 3 p.m. every Tuesday and Thursday throughout the month of June at the Beverly Arts Center. Registration is required and groups are limited to 15. Online reservations are being taken on the 19th Ward Mobile Site. Or, drop by on your own to visit the exhibit.
“As we reflect on our not-for-profit organization’s century of caring for seniors, we are inspired by how certain milestones have improved the lives of older adults and how perceptions about aging have changed,” said Kevin McGee, president and CEO of Smith Senior Living. “The exhibit sparks cherished memories as it takes visitors on a journey through the last 100 years and gives visitors a way to consider how historic events affect life at home.”
