Father Pfleger to Chief Keef: 'SHUT UP!!!!'

A Catholic priest told a Chicago rapper to “shut up” on his Facebook page after the rapper offered to hold a benefit concert for the family of a 1-year-old boy tragically killed Saturday afternoon by a car allegedly fleeing a shooting.

Father Michael Pfleger, an outspoken activist to end the violence on Chicago streets, lashed out at Chief Keef, telling him to “man up” and apologize for city’s violence.

Chief Keef has been accused of glorifying street violence and gang life in his lyrics.

Dillon Harris, who had just learned to walk, was sitting in his stroller as his mother, older sisters and other relatives waited at a bus stop on the South Side in Woodlawn last Saturday afternoon. Police say a car allegedly fleeing the scene of a drive-by shooting careened up on to the sidewalk striking baby Dillon in his stroller in front of his horrified mother and sisters.

Witnesses described the car “rolling over” the child in his stroller.

Twenty minutes earlier, rapper Capo, 22, whose real name is Marvin Carr, was shot to death in a drive-by shooting. Capo was an associate of Keith Cozart, better known as Chief Keef, the self-proclaimed voice of “Chicago’s at risk youth.”

Chief Keef, whose songs include such lyrics as “can’t trust every face bitch you gotta watch em,” and “just bring a 9 we ain’t got a mack” has offered to do benefit concert for Harris’s family at a soon-to-announced venue this Friday.

The only catch is that Chief Keef will be doing the concert via hologram from Beverly Hills, CA, because of legal issues in Illinois, ABC 7 Chicago reported.

The rapper was arrested last year for driving under the influence of marijuana and other traffic charges in Highland Park mere weeks after he completed a rehab program at the Promises Treatment Center in Malibu, CA, TMZ reported.

Prior to that Chief Keef was clocked driving 110 mph down the Eisenhower Expressway. He was also evicted from his rented Highland Park mansion last year reportedly after falling behind on his rent, news reports said.

Father Pfleger, who himself has gotten into trouble for mocking Hillary Clinton for being “white” and “entitled” while preaching at President Barack Obama’s former church, unleashed his full rant against Chief Keef in a Monday post on his Facebook page:

“Chief Keef has announced that he will hold a benefit concert to raise funds for his friend and the baby who were killed this past weekend....REALLY...Chief Keef is one of the reasons we have all this violence...he has been one of the encourager’s of the violence.....Instead of having a concert...why doesn’t he man up and acknowledge it’s time to stop this violence and APOLOGIZE for his part in it!!!! we don’t need a concert...we need PEACE......7 DEAD and 24 SHOT this weekend and he wants to do a concert.....Chief Keef....SHUT UP!!!!!”
