Fox's, Barraco's Advance To Neighborhood Pizza Championship
Fox's Beverly Pub and Barraco's Mount Greenwood are the two finalists in the Beverly-Mt. Greenwood Patch "best pizza" championship.
CHICAGO - The search for the most popular spot for pizza in Beverly, Mount Greenwood and Morgan Park comes down to two choices: Fox's and Barraco's. The two restaurants advanced in last week's semifinals against the top two seeds in the bracket.
In a poll that had more than 1,100 votes cast, fourth-seeded Barraco's narrowly prevailed against number one seed Milano's, 53 percent to 47 percent. Fox's, the three seed, had 55 percent of the vote in the other semifinal against second seeded Tata's, which had 45 percent. The Fox's-Tata's match-up saw more than 300 votes cast.
The championship showdown poll question was posted on the Beverly-Mt. Greenwood Patch Twitter feed at 7 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 15. That means voting will be open until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 16.
