CFD Firefighter Michael Altman's Funeral Postponed Friday As Wife Goes Into Labor

CHICAGO—The funeral mass for fallen CFD Firefighter Michael Alman planned for Friday, March 27, has been postponed until further notice.

Altman and his wife, Nora, were expecting their second child when he died in the line of duty. Nora went into labor Thursday morning, according to a statement by the Chicago Fire Department Firefighters Union Local 102 on Facebook.

The visitation and a scheduled walk-through by fellow firefighters set for Thursday, March 26, at St. Rita, will go on as planned.
