Garden Center Services held their 57th Annual Fashion Show and Luncheon, An Evening in Paris, this past Sunday at the DoubleTree Hotel in Alsip, IL. With over 350 in attendance, Garden Center raised needed funds for residential and vocational services for adults with developmental disabilities at their programs while having a great time!
Beautiful fashions from Garden Center's Lemont-based support business, Second Chance Thrift Shoppe were modeled by Garden Center staff, consumers and families.
Another Garden Center support business, Garden Gallery & Studio of Tinley Park, sold beautiful hand-painted silk scarves and hand-woven art totes at the event.
The United Methodist Church of Mt. Greenwood received the GCS Partner of the Year Award for their support of the agency over the past year. Mecor, Inc. received the Business of the Year Award for their ongoing support of the agency, and Mrs. Connie Bednarczyk received the Parent of the Year Award for her tireless fundraising and volunteer efforts on behalf of the agency and the people Garden Center supports.
