Gas Station Across From Mt. Greenwood Park Open Again: Biz Beat
The latest business news in Mount Greenwood, including a new occupant of the Marie's Catering space across the street from the gas station.

CHICAGO (MT. GREENWOOD) — Residents of the Mount Greenwood neighborhood can once again pump gas in their own neighborhood. The gas station that's been vacant for some time at 111th and Lawndale just across the street from Mt. Greenwood Park was opened again this week. It's a Shell, and gas on Friday afternoon was going for $2.69 for an unleaded gallon.
That's actually cheaper than most other gas stations nearby, according to GasBuddy numbers from Friday.
The inside of the gas station is also open, with several convenience items available in what appears to be a renovated and modernized space.

Gyros, anyone?
Right across the street from the gas station, it appears there will be an occupant at the spot that was once Marie's Cafe & Catering for the first time in more than two years. Signs on the door of the building kiddie corner to the park indicate plans for a Gyro Grill to open there come springtime.
