Going, Going, Gone! 'Problem Home' Demolished in Beverly
Alderman says home had become a nuisance and safety hazard.

Crews began demolishing a long-vacant property identified by the alderman as a neighborhood eyesore.
In an email blast to 19th Ward residents, Ald. Matt O’Shea said the home at 10115 S. Wood St. had been abandoned for several years and had become a nuisance on the block.

The home has also grown increasingly unstable and unsafe over the years.
Rep. Fran Hurley, Beverly Area Planning Association and the city’s building and law departments worked together with the alderman to get the house demolished.
