'High School 101' Guides Parents Through CPS Selection Process

Ald. Matt O'Shea and BAPA will host an online seminar to help parents through the CPS high school selection process Wednesday, Sept. 21.

CHICAGO — Are you the parent of a 6th, 7th or 8th grade student? Now is the time to start the search for the right public high school. Ald. Matt O’Shea (19th) and the Beverly Area Planning Association will host High School 101, a Zoom seminar designed to help guide parents through the CPS high school selection process, Wednesday, September 21, at 7 p.m.

A representative from Chicago Public Schools will be on hand to explain the process for applying to selective enrollment high schools. In addition, the principals from the Chicago High School for Agricultural Sciences and Morgan Park High School will both share information about their schools and answer parents’ questions.
