Hosts Sought For Cyclists In Beverly Hills Cycling Classic

The Beverly Area Planning Association is looking for Beverly/Morgan Park homeowners to open their homes to cyclists for the July 20 race.

CHICAGO, IL — Some of the world's best cyclists will come to Beverly/Morgan Park again this summer and many of them are looking for a place to stay. The Beverly Area Planning Association is looking for local volunteers to open up their homes and provide overnight accommodations for the riders.

Hosts are asked to provide a comfortable sleeping space, access to a bathroom and kitchen, counter and refrigerator space, use of washing machines and dryers and a secure place for bicycle storage for the riders, who will be in town for the 16th annual Beverly Hills Cycling Classic on Friday, July 20. The race is the first of the 2018 Prairie State Cycling Series/Intelligentsia Cup.

"Hosting offers volunteers the unique opportunity to spend time with the cycling world's top riders and to get a peek behind the scenes of the racing lifestyle," BAPA wrote in a news release. "All riders are sponsored and expected to be on their best behavior."
