Thieves Strike Beverly In Recent Garage Burglaries

Police are investigating five recent crimes in which thieves have used force to enter garages on Seeley, Damen and Walden Parkway.

CHICAGO, IL - A number of garage burglaries have been reported in Beverly over the course of the last two weeks. Police in the 22nd District are investigating five such incidents that have been reported between 95th and 99th streets, Walden Parkway and Seeley Avenue.

The offenders were spotted trying to break into a garage using a pry tool in the most recent incident, which was reported on April 7 at 10:35 p.m. in the 9800 block of Damen.

Other incidents were reported as having occurred at 2 a.m. on March 24 in the 9500 block of Seeley, between 10:45 p.m. on April 3 and 11:30 a.m. on April 4 in the 9800 block of Walden Parkway, between 7 p.m. on April 4 and 8:15 a.m. on April 5 in the 9800 block of Seeley and between 6:30 p.m. on April 6 and 10:30 a.m. on April 8 in the 9600 block of Seeley.

In most cases, the offenders used force to enter the garages and left with stolen property.

The suspects have been described by police as two black men between 30 and 40 years old who were wearing dark clothing.
