Klees Golf Shop To Close At End Of Month
The Klees Golf Shop at 104th and Western will close after 20 years in Beverly and more than a century serving golfers on the South Side.

CHICAGO — The Klees Golf Shop that has been at 104th and Western in the heart of the city's Beverly neighborhood for 20 years will close at the end of the month after more than a century of serving golfers on the South Side of Chicago.
The Klees family first opened the shop in 1910 at 64th and Stony Island Avenue near the South Shore golf course, according to a timeline of the business' history. The shop moved to 87th and Bennett during the 1950's after a fire at the original location and then briefly operated at 87th and California before moving to its current spot at 10436 S. Western Ave. in 1999.
Charles Klees, owner of the third-generation shop, said the last day they will be open will be Halloween, Oct. 31. A number of items will be on sale until then.
