The Lollapalooza lineup was announced today! Did you get your tickets to the 3 day music extravaganza held at Grant Park August 1st thru August 3rd? No, you forgot to and you will jump online right now and get those 3 day passes. Oh shoot, they are sold out. Ok, there are always single day tickets to purchase too. Forget it, those are sold out too. That didn’t take long, now did it? Day to day lineups are listed as well. This may have helped the single day tickets to sell out so quickly. Honestly, it doesn’t matter who plays Lolla anymore, this is a music event fans want to be at and they will buy tickets regardless who is playing. (Just in case you are wondering, Pitchfork Music Fest tickets are still available, with a more ambitious lineup).
About a week ago, Chicago Tribune’s Greg Kot leaked who some of the headliners may be at Lolla this year. Acts like Eminem, Arctic Monkeys, Kings Of Leon, & Skrillex. He was on target as these 4 bands are indeed headlining this year.
Here is the some of the lineup for 2014:

Go to Lollapalooza.com for the complete lineup. There were no surprises to this lineup; Outkast was expected to play and probably the band many may want to see considering they haven’t toured in over 10 years. The other headliners have headlined before, making this a repeat year of performers which is a little disappointing. Where is the ‘no way, I can’t believe they are playing’ performer? We are so fortunate to have some many wonderful concert festivals in our city, so be patient as we still need to hear who will play Riotfest and the Hideout Block Party. Maybe your money will be better spent there!
