Lucky Blue Island Man Will Donate Some of $1 Million Lottery Prize to Charity
He didn't realize just how big the prize was, at first.

A Blue Island man landed a lucky lottery ticket—and he wants to spread that good fortune around.
George Crosby, who bought his $300,000,000 Cash Spectacular ticket at Ultra Foods at 13180 Cicero Ave. in Crestwood, will donate a portion of his hefty prize to an ALS Charity, Fox Chicago News reports.
Crosby grabbed a quarter to reveal the prize on his scratch-off ticket—and at first thought he won $1,000. When he went to claim his prize, he discovered there were a few extra zeroes to be tacked on to that number.

“My brother passed away after a long battle with ALS. Thanks to this lottery prize, I can make a donation to support the fight against Lou Gehrig’s disease,” Crosby said in the statement.
Crosby said he also plans to use the money to help his siblings.
