Man Gunned Down In Beverly Alley Was 'Targeted Attack:' CPD
A blue vehicle approached the man in the alley when someone inside the vehicle opened fire, Chicago police said.

CHICAGO — A 34-year-old man was gunned down in an alley Friday in Beverly in what Chicago police say was a targeted shooting. He was identified as Tyran Williams by the Cook County Medical Examiner, who ruled the death a homicide.
Police said Williams was in the 1700 block of West 95th Street just before 12 p.m. when a blue vehicle approached him in the alley. Someone inside the vehicle pulled out a handgun shooting the man multiple times. He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center where he was pronounced, police said.
Ald. Matt O’Shea (19th) shared that Williams had a criminal history. Police believe the attack was targeted. Detectives are canvassing the neighborhood for surveillance video and reviewing license plate reader cameras.
