McAuley High School Names New Board Members

CHICAGO, IL —Mother McAuley Liberal Arts High School has tapped a retired business technology executive, a screenwriter, producer, filmmaker and playwright, and a CPA and attorney to serve on the Catholic girls high school board.

Laurel McGrath is a retired business technology executive with extensive experience leading
organizations and companies in the development and execution of IT strategies. McGrath is active in her parish of Saint Julie Billiart in Tinley Park, where she serves as a uucharistic minister and is involved with the Peace and Justice Ministry. She also sits on the Computing and Digital Media Leadership Advisory Board for DePaul University. McGrath has been a Mercy Associate since 2013.

An alumna of the Harold Ramis Film School at The Second City Chicago, Jil Ross is a
screenwriter, producer, filmmaker and playwright. She is the founder and creative director of
Literacy Live! The Chicago Read-In for WVON-FM Radio, and author of the Shenanigans
Series, a children’s chapter book series. She previously worked for 17 years as the lead service
director for United Airlines. Ross is a VIRTUS instructor in her parish of Saint Walter and a
volunteer with Easter Seals and the Greater Chicago Food Depository.

Tim Doody is an attorney and partner in the law firm of Weis DuBrock Doody and Maher. He
also holds a C.P.A. certification from DePaul University. Doody and his wife, Lisa (McAuley ‘81), are the parents of a daughter, Bridget ’19, and a son, Tim. Doody currently serves on the finance committee of the McAuley Board of Trustees and is involved with the Fathers’ Club. He also serves on the board of directors for the Beverly Area Planning Association, and is an active
member of his parish of Christ the King (CK), where he is a member of the parish council and
past president of the CK School Foundation and CK Athletic Committee, respectively.

“Our newest Board members bring strong business acumen and service experience to support
our mission and purpose in educating young women for lives of leadership and service,” said
Mary Acker Klingenberger ’75, president. “Exciting developments continue at McAuley and we
welcome the new perspectives, energy and expertise that Tim, Jil and Laurel will bring to the board.”
